Eddie’s workshops range from brief “overview” courses to classes with topics targeted for specific level players. He often conducts one-day, 2 – 5 hour events by himself. He can also be found on the staff of numerous group workshops or “camps,” which last from a couple of days to an entire week.
Friday, September 7th, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Banjo Newsletter Banjo Workshop with Eddie, Tony Trischka and Janet Davis. American Banjo Museum and Hall of Fame, 9 E Sheridan Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73014. Eddie will kick things off with “From Banjo Essentials to Hot Licks.” Janet Davis follows with “Back Up–What to Do When Not Soloing.” Tony Trischka closes out the proceedings with demonstrations of his numerous styles, including Scruggs, Reno, Keith, Classic, Ragtime and Clawhammer. Friday, September 7th, 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Banjo Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony–open to the public! Eddie will be on hand to help celebrate Banjo Newsletter’s and Bela Fleck’s inductions into the HOF. Workshop participants are encouraged to hang around, tour the museum and partake in the ceremony!
