About the Magazine
From Spring of 1995 through Winter of 1996, 5-String Quarterly (5SQ) published a high quality, in-depth quarterly magazine aimed at 5-string banjo players who play what is commonly known as "3-finger" style. 5SQ had over 1,300 subscribers in 10 different countries around the world. Nearly 2,000 copies of each issue were distributed. Winter 1996 was the final issue of the magazine.
