Eddie Collins conducts workshops throughout the United States. These range from brief “overview” type courses to classes with specific topics targeted for specific level players. As a solo artist, these are usually one-day events lasting from 2 to 5 hours. Eddie often is on staff at group workshops or “camps,” which last from a couple of days to an entire week. Workshop with Legendary Banjoist Bob Black. Bob Black is a veteran of Bill Monroe's Blue Grass boys and has performed with the likes of Ricky Skaggs, John Hartford and Emmy Lou Harris. He will share insights into soloing and playing back-up gained from years of playing alongside such great performers. He will also demonstrate many of his favorite licks and where to use them, which he has culled from a recently released instructional DVD. The workshop will be hosted in Austin by Tom Pittman.
