Sunday, June 8th, 2:00 P.M House Concert in North Austin with Danny Barnes, whose banjo picking ranges from traditional to avant-garde. This acoustic concert will lean toward the traditional side. Barnes will perform both original and traditional tunes in claw hammer and 3-finger style. Within the last year, he has performed with the Dave Matthews Band, jazz guitar legend Bill Frisell and indie icon Robert Earl Keen. Danny will perform a solo set and a short set with Eddie Collins providing accompaniment on guitar, mandolin and some twin banjo.

An informal presentation will follow the concert as Danny & Eddie briefly discuss the evolution of bluegrass music in Texas, with Texas-native Barnes sharing some of his experiences growing up musically in the Lone Star state.
